African Logistics Company Lori Announces Expansion
Lori Systems, a logistics startup based in Kenya, Africa, recently announced expansion into Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan. The announcement comes after the company pitched at TechCrunch Battlefield in San Francisco. It also was named overall winner at TechCrunch Battlefield Africa last October.
Currently, 40% of grains moving through Kenya to Uganda move through Lori’s platform, achieving a 17% reduction in direct costs, according to a press release. Lori also has won several bids associated with a newly built $4 billion railroad system in East Africa.
